How to prepare for your first acupuncture visit

Eat Before Your Treatment

Have a light meal an hour or two before your treatment.

Acupuncture can regulate blood sugar. Not eating before treatment can increase the chances of feeling lightheaded or faint.

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. The most commonly used acupuncture points are located on the lower arms and legs, back, and abdomen. Pants that are loose enough to roll up above the knee are helpful.
